Yogi targets SP, flags Azamgarh development
Varanasi, April 7 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party, alleging it limited development to Saifai while ignoring Azamgarh, a district that consistently backed its candidates.
He was speaking after inaugurating a milk chilling centre of the Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producers' Society in Azamgarh. The CM said the region has seen a major change in recent years. Earlier, people from Azamgarh struggled to find accommodation in hotels or dharamshalas, but now visitors are welcomed without hesitation. Referring to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Yogi said previous governments, which had ordered firing on Ram devotees, could never have delivered such projects. He reiterated that despite Azamgarh electing leaders to high office, they failed to bring real development to the district. "What did your elected representatives do for Azamgarh?" he asked.
