Yogi reviews preparations for Seva Pakhwada
LUCKNOW, Sept. 9 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the Seva Pakhwada that will be run in UP from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 till the birth anniversaries of 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2, an official release stated.
"The Pakhwada is not merely a series of events, but a significant opportunity to serve the poor, deprived and marginalised sections of society," he stated.
He said extensive activities will be organized during the Pakhwada in all districts, including Swachhata Abhiyan, tree plantation drives, blood donation and health camps, dialogues with intellectuals, fairs and exhibitions under the 'Vocal for Local' initiative, youth sports competitions, painting contests, marathons and an exhibition on the life of the PM. The CM emphasised ensuring maximum public participation, with active involvement of MPs, MLAs, public representatives and party officials....
