Yeida likely to develop Raya Heritage City on hybrid model
GREATER NOIDA, Oct. 28 -- The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) may develop its much-awaited Heritage City project at Raya in Mathura district on a hybrid model provided the board gives its green signal for this mega project.
The project spread on 11,653-hectare land and planned in the name of Raya Urban Centre will consist of a cultural, religious, and tourism theme in the Braj region. The project will have a reflection of the life and legacy of Lord Krishna that attract thousands of devotees daily into this region prompting the government to re-develop this ancient city and offering ease to the devotees, said officials.
"The Yeida has been working on this ambitious project to develop the Heritage City in Mathura and the developmental model will be finalized by the board. We have prepared a proposal to be tabled in the board meeting for a final decision as to how this mega project must be developed ahead. If the board will approve the proposal after discussion then we will implement the same on the ground," said RK Singh, chief executive office of the Yeida.
The Yeida said that it has decided to develop the project on a hybrid model, combining public-private partnership (PPP) components with direct development by the Authority. A detailed proposal outlining this model has been prepared and is likely to be placed before the Authority's board meeting in the first week of November for final approval, said officials....
