Yamuna e-way emerges as industrial hub
Lucknow, Dec. 30 -- As part of its strategy to develop industrial corridors alongside expressways, the state government is developing industrial hubs along the Yamuna Expressway in two phases.
The project is being executed by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
Spanning over 3,000 square kilometres, the region has a well-defined land-use strategy covering industrial, residential, commercial, and mixed-use zones.
Equipped with high-quality road connectivity, reliable power supply, drainage systems, and essential infrastructure, the region has become a preferred destination for investors, said the state government on Monday.
Its strong connectivity with New Delhi, Agra, and the National Capital Region (NCR) has further enhanced the Yamuna Expressway's appeal for manufacturing and logistics.
Adding to this momentum, the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is set to give the region global visibility.
Centered around the airport, the Uttar Pradesh government has planned a network of industrial cities, logistics parks, and employment hubs that will significantly boost economic activity.
According to Deepak Maini, chairman of the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry (PFTI), projects taking shape along the expressway are propelling the state toward the goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy....
