LUCKNOW, April 26 -- A two-day workshop on rheumatology and pulmonology started at the general medicine department of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) here on Saturday. The department organised the workshop to strengthen clinical skills and practical knowledge among PG medical students. On the first day of the event, the rheumatology module focused on patient-based learning. The tuberculosis sessions addressed diagnostic challenges and the critical care module covered patient monitoring, shock management, and sepsis protocols, said a press release shared with the media. A major highlight was the mechanical ventilation training, which provided participants with hands-on exposure to ventilator settings and troubleshooting techniques. The academic programme covered key areas of internal medicine, including rheumatology, interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis and critical care, it stated.
