LUCKNOW, Nov. 30 -- Madiaon Police on Friday arrested two women involved in multiple incidents of theft targeting passengers travelling in e-rickshaws across Lucknow, as per a note. The accused were identified as Rajni, 25, a resident of Palwal district in Haryana, and Rambati, 26, from Dholpur district in Rajasthan. Police said both women admitted to stealing valuables from co-passengers in e-rickshaws. According to officials, on November 28, a police team was stationed at Bhithouli crossing for routine patrolling and checking of suspicious vehicles and individuals. During the exercise, an informer alerted the team that two women suspected in earlier thefts were standing near Koila Dhaal on Sitapur Road. The police detained both women.
