LUCKNOW, July 9 -- A 22-year-old woman employed with a private insurance firm was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her rented apartment in the Chinhat area of Lucknow on Monday evening. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, although no note was recovered from the scene, officials said. The incident was reported from a residential flat in Vikalp Khand, where the woman lived with a roommate. According to police, her roommate had returned from her native village the same day and repeatedly knocked on the door, but received no response. She then alerted the police, who reached the spot and broke open the door, only to find the woman's body hanging from the ceiling. "The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination. All angles are being investigated," Chinhat SHO Dinesh Chandra Mishra said....
