Woman opens fire at liquor vend; one injured
GORAKHPUR, Jan. 22 -- A young woman with a history-sheet opened fire during an argument at a liquor vend at Singhaniya Chowk, under the Cantt police station area, on Tuesday night. One man sustained critical bullet injuries in the incident.
The woman was identified as Anshika, 25, a resident of Harpur Budhatt, who was celebrating her birthday with friends on the roadside, when a group of youths - Vishal Mishra, Abhishek Nishad, Shailesh, and Sandeep - arrived at the spot, police said.

Circle Officer (Cantt) Yogendra Singh said that an FIR has been registered on the complaint of the victim under relevant sections related to attempt to murder and illegal possession of arms. "The weapon used in the crime has been seized, and further investigation is underway," he added.
