Woman murdered by lover and accomplices in Bulandshahr: Cops
Meerut, March 24 -- Police in Bulandshahr have solved the mystery of a headless woman whose body was found in a forest on March 15. The victim, 35-year-old Babli from Kalyanpur, was allegedly killed by her lover Vikas with the help of his brother Sachin and his friend Aman.
SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said Babli had been in a relationship with Vikas for nearly three years. The two were living together in Muradnagar. However, Vikas secretly married another woman on December 12.
Police said this led to tension between them. Babli began pressuring Vikas to marry her. She also demanded that he return the money she had spent on him over the years. Investigators said she had even taken loans for him. She also threatened to reveal their relationship to his family.
On March 14 evening, Vikas lured Babli by telling her they would attend a family function. They travelled to Brajghat, where Sachin and Aman joined them.
The four then rode together on a single motorcycle towards a forest near the Ghungharavali canal, as they claimed no other transport was available.
The three accused consumed alcohol before carrying out the crime. Sensing danger, Babli pleaded for her life. Despite her desperate appeals, the men overpowered her. While Vikas began slitting her throat. The accused later transported the severed head and disposed of it deeper inside the forest.
The headless body was discovered on March 15 in the Ghungharaali-Faridabangeforest area. A tattoo on Babli's right arm played a crucial role in her identification.
Police have arrested Vikas and Aman from the Gesupur canal area and recovered the murder weapon along with two country-made .315 bore pistols and two live cartridges. Sachin, Vikas' brother, remains on the run.
Babli, a widow, is survived by her three daughters aged 7, 10, and 16, who currently live with their grandmother. Police said her family was unaware of her relationship with Vikas due to her living separately in Muradnagar.
Investigators further revealed that financial disputes also played a significant role in the crime. Babli had reportedly spent all her earnings on Vikas and later demanded repayment after his marriage.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway....
