Lucknow, May 1 -- A woman from the city's Gomti Nagar has alleged that she lost Rs.35 lakh to a fraudulent gaming app, police said, adding an FIR had been lodged. Bindu Sakal Ram began playing a game popular as Aviator in February last year. Encouraged by a message claiming she won Rs.2 lakh, she invested Rs 35.29 lakh in multiple transactions until March 30 of this year. When her own account was frozen, she used her brother's bank accounts to continue playing, until they were all frozen. Cyber Crime SHO Brijesh Yadav a probe into the issue was underway. A woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her five-year-old daughter when she was attending her ailing husband at a hospital in Aminabad police station area. A case was registered at Aminabad police station on Wednesday under serious sections including the POCSO Act. The woman in the FIR also alleged that victim's grandmother and aunt subjected her to inhumane behaviour, and the child was forced fed alcohol. When the frightened girl returned home and told her mother about her ordeal, she was shocked. According to the complainant woman, who is a resident of Khandari Bazaar, on April 23, she had left her daughter in her mother-in-law custody as her husband was admitted to the hospital after being injured in a road accident. A 17-year-old girl said she was constantly harassed by one Ayush Shukla from Harinagar, Balaganj in the city. An FIR against Shukla was registered on Wednesday. The girl said Shukla catcalled at her and sent her obscene messages, and even physically assaulted her once, Thakurganj SHO Shrikant Rai said a case has been registered, and appropriate legal action would be taken in the case A Barabanki-based businessman has alleged that he was cheated of Rs.8.82 lakh by a group of individuals who lured him with the promise of a distributorship for edible oils but later delivered to him substandard products.
