Agra, July 29 -- A 60-year-old woman was injured in a monkey attack near the western gate of the Taj Mahal on Monday afternoon. The woman was waiting for her son and daughter-in-law when she was attacked. An ambulance was arranged and she was sent to a nearby hospital. Shivraj Singh, a sub-inspector who works with the Taj's security team of UP Police, said Kamlesh was sitting on a red sandstone bench, and her son Shailendra Bhatt and daughter-in-law Anuradha Sharma had gone to see the Taj Mahal. "A group of monkeys attempted to snatch a water bottle in her hands and injured her right arm. Police rushed to her help," added Singh.
