Bharatpur/Karauli, Aug. 25 -- A 30-year-old woman along with two others have been arrested for killing her husband in Karauli district, police said, adding that the accused were sent to seven days of police remand on Sunday. In the incident, one minor has been detained. Kamlesh Meena, Balghat police station in-charge, said that the woman, identified as Kusum Devi, lived with her 60-year-old husband, Devi Sahay, in Mudiya village. "On August 20 midnight, Kusum took her husband to a nearby farm where she along with her lover, who was waiting for them along with two more people, killed Sahay. His body was thrown in a well in a well near Bhidawali village under police station Bayana Sadar of Bharatpur district," Meena said. He further said that the woman filed a missing complaint of her husband at a police station the next day. "During investigation, we suspected Kusum's role. When questioned she confessed to the crime.The police and State Disaster Response Force team recovered the body from the well on Saturday and arrested the other three people for killing Sahay," he said. Besides Kusum, the other people arrested were identified as Pintu Gurjar and Shribhan Gurjar, the officer said, adding that they were sent to seven days of police remand.
