Lucknow, May 2 -- A 24-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bhikhapur of Mahanagar police station area. Her body was found in the room of her friend Pawan Barnwal's house on Wednesday. While Barnwal is on the run, the deceased's family accused him of killing their daughter. The deceased's father, Premchand, a resident of Wazir Hasan Road, said that his daughter, Pooja, had left home around 10 am on Wednesday for coaching but never returned. She was later found dead in Barnwal's house in Mahanagar. "On getting the information in the evening about a woman committing suicide by hanging, Mahanagar police along with senior police officer reached the spot for inspection. On the family's complaint, a case under charges of murder has been registered," said Manisha Singh, additional deputy commissioner of police, central.Mahanagar inspector Akhilesh Mishra said that both met at the coaching centre and the deceased student used to visit her friend's house. "The allegations of the family are being investigated," he added. The family of the deceased also alleged that the accused youth took her home by luring her, and after committing the crime, Barnwal reached Premchand's niece's shop and told her that Pooja was at his house, quarrelling with him. Together, they went to Barnwal's house and found Pooja hanging. It was then that Barnwal fled from the scene. According to the police, no visible injury marks were found on the body of the deceased.
