Prayagraj, June 19 -- A married woman took her own life after being accused of theft by her neighbour while fetching water from a well. The incident took place in the Kunda Kotwali area of Pratapgarh district. According to reports, the woman had gone to a neighbour's well on Tuesday night to fetch water. While she was drawing water, the neighbour's wife accused her of stealing Rs 1,100 in cash and some jewellery. It is alleged that the neighbour's wife also chased and beat her.On being hurt with the accusations, she went inside her house and hanged herself. The neighbour's husband brought her down from the noose and took her to the CHC, but she had already died. On the complaint of the deceased's husband, the police registered a case against the neighbour and his wife, along with two others who were present at the time of the incident. The police have arrested all four accused....
