LUCKNOW, Dec. 20 -- A 58-year-old woman died after a motorcycle hit her while she was crossing a road in the Sushant Golf City area of the state capital, police said on Friday. The incident occurred on Sultanpur Road. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and said further action will follow based on a complaint. Police said the deceased was identified as Chanda Devi Pal, wife of the late Ashok Kumar Pal and a resident of Khurdahi Bazaar under Sushant Golf City police station. On Thursday morning, she was crossing Sultanpur Road when a two wheeler hit her, leaving her seriously injured. Family members rushed the injured woman to the Trauma Centre at King George's Medical University. However, the family later took her home in an injured but conscious condition after opting for Leave Against Medical Advice (LAMA). Later in the night, at around 10 pm, police received information about her deteriorating condition.
