PRAYAGRAJ, June 10 -- A pregnant woman travelling in Sarnath Express from Varanasi suddenly started experiencing labour pain midway on Monday afternoon. Passengers in the coach on seeing the condition of the woman called the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who arranged for a safe delivery in a section of the compartment. Sub Inspector Gaurav, lady constable Monika and Sapna Rai of Operation Meri Saheli, posted on duty at platform number 7, immediately reached the S-2 coach of the train along with medical staff, as the train reached Prayagraj. With the help of passengers in the coach, a safe and private space was created where the delivery was carried out safely. As per reports, the woman Gulnaz gave birth to a healthy baby. After the delivery, with the consent of the family, the mother and the newborn were sent to Dufferin Hospital, where the doctors declared both safe.
