PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 1 -- A woman from Pashchim Sharira, Kaushambi committed suicide after being upset over alleged sexual assault by her neighbour. Her husband filed a complaint with the police on Saturday after the cremation. The police have filed a case and begun searching for the accused. As per reports, the husband of the deceased worked in Mumbai while his wife lived with their two children. According to the husband, his wife was alone at home on the evening of November 22 when the accused, a neighbour, entered the house on some pretext. He is alleged to have assaulted his wife. On hearing the victim's screams, her sister-in-law and sister arrived forcing the accused to leave. As per the husband, his wife, distraught by this incident, hanged herself that very night. However, the husband claimed that he was busy with funeral rites and other rituals hence he filed the complaint on Saturday after cremation of his wife.
