Prayagraj, Jan. 2 -- A young woman climbed a high-voltage electricity tower on New Year's Day in Mauaima police station area, creating panic among locals. She was demanding permission to marry a man. The incident took place in Kalyanpur village on Thursday morning. A large crowd gathered at the spot as police and family members rushed in. After hours of counselling and persuasion by the police and her relatives, the woman safely came down from the tower. Police later called the families of both sides, and after a mutual agreement was reached.
