LUCKNOW, Nov. 24 -- A woman was found severely injured and abandoned in bushes by her husband near Mitouli village in the Nagram police station area, police said on Sunday. Passersby heard her groans and alerted authorities, who rushed her to the Nagaram Community Health Centre and informed her family. According to the complaint filed by the victim's brother, Sirtaj, a resident of Selhumao, his brother-in-law Bablu is addicted to alcohol. On Sunday, Bablu and his wife Reshma had attended a family function at their home. Later in the evening, the couple went to the market, where an argument broke out between them. Bablu allegedly beat Reshma mercilessly and left her bleeding along the roadside before fleeing.
