Agra, June 22 -- The court of district and sessions judge Sanjay Kumar Malik in Agra has sentenced a woman and her paramour to life imprisonment for strangling her husband to death in 2021 in an Agra village. According to district government counsel Basant Gupta, the convicted woman, Poonam, and her lover, Sony, were also fined Rs.10,000 each by the court. The duo was arrested on January 26, 2021-two days after the murder, which took place on January 24.
