Woman, 3 others held for murdering her boyfriend in Bulandshahr
MEERUT, July 5 -- Bulandshahr police arrested a woman, along with her husband, brother, and his friend, for allegedly murdering her boyfriend in the district on June 30. The accused were arrested on Thursday morning and sent to jail for interrogation, said police.
The incident came to the fore on June 30, when Kapil Singh's body was found in a sugarcane field in his native village. SP Singh stated that following the discovery of the body, a police investigation was launched.
On Thursday morning, acting on a tip-off, police arrested four suspects near the Jatpura Rajwaha culvert on Anupshahr Road.
Those arrested include Aarti and her husband Devendra, both residents of Khalour village; Aarti's brother Harsh Sirohi, a resident of Saidpur in the Bibinagar police station area; and Harsh's friend Anoop, a resident of Moradabad under the Sikandrabad police station.
During the investigation, police recovered the murder weapon-a pair of pliers along with a blood-stained shirt belonging to Anoop and a motorcycle used to transport the body.
It was also revealed that Kapil had been involved in an illicit relationship with Aarti for over a year. However, the relationship had recently deteriorated. Aarti wanted to end the affair, but Kapil allegedly threatened to kill her husband and children if she refused to meet him.
On the night of June 29, Harsh and Anoop reached Aarti's home to prepare for the murder, while Devendra skipped work to join them. Around 1:30 am, when Kapil arrived, the four attacked him with pliers, hitting him on the head until he died. Harsh and Anoop later dumped his body in a nearby sugarcane field, while Aarti cleaned the bloodstains from her home.
Superintendent of police (SP) Rural Tejveer Singh confirmed that the accused have been arrested and sent to jail for further interrogation....
