Wipro Earthian Award: Project made by CMS, Gomti Nagar, wins at regional level
Lucknow, March 13 -- A five-member student team of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I, brought laurels to the school by winning the regional-level Wipro Earthian Award for their environmental project based on the theme Sustainability and Waste.
The award-winning team comprised Aradhya Agarwal, Arya, Dhritee Verma, Vaishnavi Batham and Reyansh Srivastava.
The Wipro Earthian Award, organised by Wipro, is presented at the regional and national levels to encourage the participation of students and youth in the field of environmental conservation.
More than 2,000 educational institutions from across the country showcased their environment-based projects in this initiative.
The CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I student team, under the guidance of their teacher Shiksha Tripathi, scientifically demonstrated innovative methods of waste disposal that minimise adverse environmental impact.
The project also encouraged the public to adopt the principles of Recycle, Reuse and Reduce Pollution. Their project was appreciated by the judges and won the competition for its innovation.
CMS founder-director Bharti Gandhi expressed happiness over the achievement of the CMS students and said that we are proud of our talented students, and I am fully confident that in the future they will make constructive contributions to social development.
CMS manager Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that promoting environmental and energy conservation is an integral part of the CMS education system. The students will now compete at national level....
