Haridwar, June 2 -- Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta visited Haridwar on Sunday, and offered prayers at Brahmakund in Har-ki-Pauri to mark 100 days of the BJP's government in the national capital. Speaking to media after the ritual, Gupta said that restoring the purity of the Yamuna river is among the top priorities of her government. "Taking a holy dip in the Ganga in Haridwar, I was inspired by how clean the river is. I prayed to the goddess Ganga to bless us so that the Yamuna in Delhi can be just as clean," she said. Highlighting the completion of her government's first 100 days, she also expressed her vision for a "Viksit Bharat" (developed India), with Delhi playing a significant role in that transformation. "The Delhi government is working 24/7 with the aim of building a 'Viksit Delhi', which contributes meaningfully to a Viksit Bharat. We are actively focusing on healthcare, education, social welfare, combating air pollution, and cleaning the Yamuna," she added.
