Whispers of Light expo throws up shades of life
Lucknow, Aug. 20 -- Different shades of life came alive when a photography exhibition 'Whispers of Light' began at Lalit Hall of Arts College of Lucknow University on Tuesday. The exhibition, organised by the College of Arts Photographic Society, was inaugurated by the minister of social welfare, Asim Arun. It will remain open till August 21 from 10 am - 5.30 pm daily.
As many as 125 photographs clicked by 67 photographers - including students, alumni and guest photographers from across the country and abroad, are displayed as part of the exhibition. A photo walk is also planned by the society which will be held at the Residency on August 17 from 6-7pm. Visitors can watch a slideshow of the various shots clicked.
The photographs neatly curated by the students with the help of their faculty coordinator, Atul Hundoo, are put under various themes including - Black and White, Landscapes, Nature and Wildlife, Creative Composition, Street, Commercial and Colours and Festivities.
The room, the floor of which is generally covered with paint as it is used by fine arts students, has been converted completely into an exhibition hall using chart paper and lights.
"It was an opportunity for all Bachelor of Visual Arts (Commercial Arts) and Master of Visual Arts (Commercial Arts) to learn nuances of curation of the exhibition. Putting everything together so that it looks appealing, it also made each one of us learn ways to connect with other artists and learn by looking at their works. Over 700 and more photographs were received as entries by CAPS for the exhibition," said Payal Kriti, a student, who was part of the core team, arranging the exhibition. htc...
