Lucknow, Oct. 10 -- A week-long Daan Utsav - the joy of giving week --culminated on Wednesday. The 17th edition of the festival recorded participation from citizens, students, NGOs, and corporate houses across 75 districts and at more than 1,000 locations. The Aryashree Shiksha Samiti distributed benches and colour kits to underprivileged children and expanded educational programmes for jail inmates. Students at Rudal Prasad Inter College and Seth M.R. Jaipuria, Bansal Campus, donated notebooks and stationery to children of migrant workers, reinforcing empathy in classrooms. The Digital Empowerment Foundation celebrated in Saidanpur village of Barabanki, showcased local innovation. While the Muslim Educational Trust MET fostered creativity through calligraphy and Origami workshops, and the Lucknow Farmers Market (LFM) celebrated with sustainability campaigns: Trees for Livelihoods and the Punjab Flood Relief initiative. The Robin Hood Army ran continuous fresh food and ration distribution drives across Lucknow, and the Blood Connect Foundation held events to raise awareness about blood donation.
