Wanted criminal with a reward of Rs 50K arrested
VARANASI, April 29 -- : A 25-year-old man, wanted in connection with a murder case, was arrested by a joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) and Jaunpur police on Monday.
The accused, identified as Irfan, a resident of Nasruddinpur in the Sarai Khwaja police station area of Jaunpur district, was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. He is accused of the murder of Adarsh Singh Rajput, who was allegedly killed by being immersed in a canal in the Akbarpur area, under the jurisdiction of the Ambedkar Nagar police station, on the intervening night of September 28-29, 2024.
The arrest took place near the Chandi Gehna Mode culvert, on the road leading from Kotwar to Jamuhai in Jaunpur, according to police reports. The operation was led by in-charge inspector, Vinay Prakash Singh from Sarai Khwaja Police Station, Jaunpur, alongside STF inspector, Aditya Kumar Singh. Three other accused, Pradeep Kashyap, Ravi Prajapati, and Arif Ahmed, had already been arrested in connection with the case....
