PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 17 -- The revision of the voter list for the three-tier 2026 panchayat elections in the state is currently underway in Prayagraj. In the list prepared by booth-level officers (BLOs) till October 6, the number of deleted voters had decreased by 34,287, while the total number of voters had increased by 47,205. The door-to-door voter addition process will continue until November. The list released a week ago listed the deletion of 1,70,576 voters, while the second list showed a total of 1, 36,289 deleted voter count. At that time, the number of new voters was reported to be 1,91,678, which became 2,38,883 in the second list. Further, 32,186 amendments or corrections were made in the details of voters in the first list, which increased to 38,691 in the second list. This meant that 6,505 voters had changed their gram panchayat or address. According to assistant election officer SP Baranwal, till now a total of 4,13,863 entries have been received through the eBLO app. He said efforts were being made to ensure accuracy of the voter list. The list of duplicate voters was also being checked, the officer added. As per the officer, the revision of the voter list was being done through two formats.
