PRAYAGRAJ, June 12 -- A visit to the historic Chandra Shekhar Azad Park is set to become all the more exciting in the coming days. If all goes to plan, tourists and city residents will be able to enjoy zipline rides at a height of 40 feet near the statue of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad and try their hand at rock climbing, officials said. Under 'Dekho Prayagraj Trail', a plan has been prepared to make the area around the statue of Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad more attractive and engaging for visitors, they added. The zipline near the statue will be around 100 meters long. An artificial mountain wall will also be built near the statue, on which people will be able to enjoy rock climbing. A gallery is also proposed near the statue, which will have information about the history of Prayagraj. There is also a plan to organise digital shows in the gallery. Apart from these, there will also be a small cafeteria in the park, offering snacks. Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited (UPPCL), which installed the infrastructure for laser show on Yamuna and facade lights on the new Yamuna bridge ahead of Mahakumbh-2025, will lead this mission at Chandra Shekhar Azad park. UPPCL general manager Suresh Yadav said that three spots will also be developed outside the park for tourists for hosting street plays. According to the GM, beautification work will also be done around the statue of Chandra Shekhar Azad. No objection certificate has been taken from the horticulture department and Prayagraj Development Authority for new development works in the park....
