Dehradun, Nov. 3 -- In view of President Droupadi Murmu's scheduled address at the Uttarakhand Assembly on the first day of the two-day special session in Dehradun on Monday, a 300-metre radius around the Vidhan Sabha complex has been declared a silent zone, officials said. In the silent zone, the sound level has been restricted to 40 decibels. Dehradun senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ajai Singh said, "In view of the proposed VVIP visit in Dehradun district from November 2 to November 3, the administration has declared some areas in the district as Silent Zones/Noise-Restricted Areas." "...This includes a 300-metre radius around the Vidhan Sabha complex. The order will remain in effect from 10 am on November 2 to 4 pm on November 3 or until one hour after the VVIP's departure on November 3." The two-day session of the Vidhan Sabha will be held in Dehradun on November 3 and 4 to highlight the state's achievements across 25 years and outline future development plans.
