LUCKNOW, Sept. 24 -- The Vibhuti Khand area of Lucknow is again in the news for all the wrong reasons. From late-night gunshots outside clubs to drunken brawls, the posh commercial hub is causing law and order concerns. In the latest incident, a major street fight broke out between two groups outside the DLF My Pad building. What began as an argument escalated into a violent clash, with men exchanging abuses and punches in full public view, said local traders. A minute-long video of the brawl, purportedly shot outside the DLF building, has gone viral on social media. In the undated clip, a group of men, appearing heavily intoxicated, can be seen pushing and hitting each other, creating chaos in the busy locality. Confirming the incident, Vibhuti Khand SHO Amar Singh said: "Complaints have been received from both parties. They are being investigated and necessary legal action is being initiated." Recently, two fights broke out outside prominent clubs in the area, both of which ended in police intervention and even the suspension of the SHO and outpost in charge. In another shocking case on Sunday, shots were fired outside a popular mall in Sushant Golf City area, leading to the arrest of four people. Residents and office-goers expressed concern over the recurring law and order issue in the area, which is also home to many residential high-rises, corporate offices, eateries and nightlife hubs.
