LUCKNOW, July 28 -- Veteran journalist Naveen Joshi was conferred the Gyanendra Sharma Excellence in Journalism Award at a special event organised by the Uttar Pradesh Journalists' Guild at the UP Press Club here on Sunday. The gathering paid tribute to the late Gyanendra Sharma and remembered him as a pioneer of objective and impactful journalism whose five-decade career defined a golden era of Indian media. Senior journalists and academicians recalled Sharma's unmatched political reporting, his early embrace of technology, and his principled life.
