AGRA, Oct. 3 -- Various events were organised across the city on Thursday to mark 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) that was founded by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur on the day of Vijayadashmi in 1925. "The year ahead will be dominated by activities related to expansion and strengthening RSS. For Sangh activists, this is not the time to celebrate, but to re-dedicate oneself towards the cause of society and nation. We need to be more vigilant, quality conscious and focussed." said prant pracharak Dharmendra in his address at an event in Avadh Puri, after 'shastra pujan' on Vijayadashmi. "Dr Hegdewar had stated 100 years ago that RSS was not beginning any new work, but just taking forward the task which is on since centuries," he added. He highlighted the plan of action, including mass contact, from November 2025 till January 2026, for which swayamsewaks will visit houses under the 'Har Gaon, Har Basti and Har Ghar' home-to-home contact campaign and distribute literature associated with the ideology of RSS. Besides, Hindu Sammelans will be organised with emphasis on social harmony. "Events were organised all over Agra Vibhag and 'path sanchalan' (walk march) was held by different teams of RSS volunteers all over the district," said prant sah prachar pramukh Manmohan Nirankari....
