Varanasi woman found murdered in orchard
VARANASI, Dec. 22 -- A woman was found murdered in an orchard in the outskirts of Kathor village under the Cholapur police station area here on Sunday, police said.
The woman, in her late twenties, was married. Blood was scattered on the ground in the orchard, said a police officer and added that the body had been sent for the postmortem examination.
Assistant commissioner of police Sarnath, Vidush Saxena said that the woman had tattoos of "GP" and "PL" on her hand and a muffler was also recovered from around her neck. Her identity is yet to be ascertained.
A sniffer dog, when taken to the spot, went up to 100 metres away from the crime scene, near the Niyar-Danganj road, before returning.
Additional deputy commissioner of police Neetu Katyayan alsdo inspected the spot.
On Sunday morning, when Sonu Yadav, a resident of Rampur, went to the orchard to collect firewood, he first saw the woman's feet and then her clothes. Hearing and speech impaired Sonu tried to communicate about it, but people couldn't understand him. He then led them to the spot and the locals later informed Cholapur police....
