uttarakhand: NCB recovers drugs from maha pilgrim
Dehradun, July 6 -- A team of Narcotics Control Bureau, Dehradun, recovered 0.26 grams of LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) from a pilgrim from Maharashtra on the Kedarnath yatra route in Rudraprayag district, police said on Saturday.
Superintendent of police, Rudraprayag, Akshay Prahlad Konde said.
"On the basis information of persons arrested by NCB teams during raids conducted for recovery of drugs in different parts of the country, a raid was conducted in the Fata area of the district on July 3. The NCB team recovered 0.26 grams of LSD from the possession of Shashikant, a resident of Maharashtra, who had come for the Kedarnath yatra."
"The raid was carried out by NCB team with cooperation of Guptkashi police station. No evidence of sale of drugs locally has not come to light," he said....
