URIDA CEO inspects progress of projects under CM Grid Phase-1
Lucknow, Nov. 26 -- On Tuesday, CEO of Urban Road Infrastructure Development Agency, (URIDA) Mahendra Bahadur Singh conducted an extensive inspection of several ongoing works, accompanied by senior municipal and URIDA officials.
The officials inspected new footpaths, underground cabling, drainage upgrades, and redesigned stretches, however a number of residents pointed out that the progress has been uneven, with some patches still left dug up for weeks and traffic management remaining a concern. Under CM Grid Phase-1, construction and upgradation of seven major roads are underway. Officials reviewed work quality, timelines, and coordination among departments-especially the LESA, whose pending tasks have reportedly slowed down progress on certain stretches.
The first inspection-from Purania-Aliganj Road to the Census Directorate on Kursi Road-showed progress in stepped footpaths, on-street parking bays, tile work, storm-water drains, and underground ducts.
