UPSRTC to roll out 200 new air-conditioned buses on Navratri
LUCKNOW, Sept. 20 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will introduce 200 new air-conditioned buses for passengers on the occasion of Navratri, stated senior UPSRTC officials in a press note shared by the state government on Thursday.
The officials stated that these buses will be launched on the first day of Navratri, beginning Monday (September 22).
They added that the fleet will be equipped with modern technology and 2x2 recliner seats to provide passengers with a safe and comfortable travel experience.
They further added that the buses are part of the state government's effort to enhance transportation facilities in Uttar Pradesh. Since 2022, the UPSRTC has inducted over 5,000 buses into its fleet, making it one of the youngest in the country, officials said.
The transport minister, Dayashankar Singh, expressed his gratitude to the chief minister Yogi Adityanath for supporting the initiative.
He stated that the state government's aim is to provide safe, comfortable, and convenient travel options to the people.
