LUCKNOW, May 31 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) successfully carried out a Mega Allotment Scheme in May, under which 113 industrial plots were allotted. The scheme is expected to attract investments totaling around Rs.700 crore and create employment opportunities for approximately 4,800 people. As part of this scheme, UPSIDA allotted a total of 88 industrial plots and 2 commercial properties across various industrial areas in the state. Additionally, 23 industrial plots were allotted through the Nivesh Mitra portal during the month of May. This initiative is being recognised as a significant step under the state government's investment promotion policy and its continued focus on ease of doing business under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The digital allotment process has become a cornerstone for ensuring transparency, efficiency, and building investor confidence. Among the 113 allotted plots, several industrial areas attracted notable investor interest, including Kosi Kotwan, Jalaun, Bhogaon (Mainpuri), Malwan (Fatehpur), Shahjahanpur, Pilkhani (Saharanpur), Ramnagar-2 (Chandauli), Karkhiyaon (Varanasi), IIDC Banther (Unnao), MG Road (Hapur), and Site-C Surajpur (Greater Noida). Additionally, two commercial properties were successfully sold - one warehouse in Sikandrabad (Bulandshahr) and a shopping complex located at Site-C in Greater Noida.
