All-Indian clashes dominated, underlining the depth of domestic junior tennis. Varad Undre kicked off proceedings with a solid 6-4, 7-5 win over Ayan Shetty, displaying steady baseline play to edge a tight contest. Advit Tiwari followed suit, overpowering Abhivadya Misra 7-5, 6-1 in a one-sided affair after a competitive opener. The real fireworks came with upsets that rocked the seeded bracket. Third seed Mahijeet Pradhan tumbled 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to qualifier Sharan Somasi, who clawed back from a set deficit with ferocious resilience. Sixth seed Aarav Dhekial fared worse, leading qualifier Aarav Chawla 3-6, 7-6(5), 5-4 before Chawla retired injured-handing Dhekial an unexpected exit and boosting underdogs' morale.
