PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 19 -- A youth, upset over a case being filed against his entire family at the Shahganj police station in Prayagraj, allegedly hung himself at his maternal home in Tilgodi village of Kaushambi late on Wednesday night. His kin and locals staged a protest on Thursday evening, placing his body in front of the Shahganj police station. The family demanded immediate action against the other party. After an hour of the protest, police officers managed to pacify the crowd. As per reports, a clash and aerial firing between two groups occurred late on Monday night in Kolhan Tola, under Shahganj police station in Prayagraj. SP leader Mohammad Saif filed a named case against the deceased, his father and other family members. Based on a complaint by the deceased's father, the police also filed a named FIR against three individuals of the opposite party. According to ACP (Kotwali) Ravi Gupta, a case was registered at Shahganj police station based on the complaint of both parties. "The deceased's father was not sent to jail while the main accused from the other side had been sent to jail. The reason behind the youth's extreme step would be investigated," he added....
