UPSC aspirants denied entry for late arrival
India, Sept. 15 -- LUCKNOW: Several candidates faced inconvenience on Sunday as they were denied entry to the Union Public Service Commission's National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy Examination (II) and Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination for arriving late at centres in the city.
At Sindhi Vidyalaya Girls Inter College in Aminabad, some candidates who reached just 3-5 minutes after the gate closure time were not allowed inside, leading to protests from aspirants and their parents. Security personnel and a magistrate were deployed at the site.
The UPSC had clearly announced in advance that entry gates would close 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination and no candidate would be permitted after that.
The NDA (II) examination was held in two shifts - Mathematics from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the General Ability Test from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for the SSB interview....
