UPSC aspirant dies by suicide
LUCKNOW, Nov. 9 -- A 24-year-old woman preparing for civil services examination allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Lucknow late night on Friday night. Police said a note recovered from her room mentioned disappointment over not being able to clear the exam.
According to the police, the woman had been preparing for the UPSC exam for the past few years while staying with her family in Chinhat area. On Friday night, she went to her room after having dinner with her parents.
When she did not come out till late on Saturday morning, her family members checked through a window and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan with a dupatta. On being informed, police reached the spot, broke open the door and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
A police officer said the note found from the room mentioned that she had "worked hard but could not succeed"....
