LUCKNOW, July 1 -- In a significant relief to many consumers, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has extended the benefit of delayed payment surcharge (DPS) waiver under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme 2024-25 to disconnected consumers as well. As per an order issued by UPPCL managing director Pankaj Kumar here on Monday, consumers whose connections were cut due to non-payment can now avail the scheme if they clear their dues and apply for reconnection by July 31, 2025. Eligible consumers will get a maximum rebate of Rs 1,000 or 10% of the DPS, whichever is higher. Reconnected consumers must also register again to avail the waiver.
