LUCKNOW, Sept. 24 -- The third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) will showcase the state's agricultural growth, running from September 25 to 29 in Greater Noida. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the five-day exhibition on Thursday, which will offer a platform for Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), agri-companies, and manufacturers of agricultural equipment, seeds, fertilisers, and crop protection solutions. Visitors will get a firsthand look at advanced farming practices and technologies adopted in UP. Five agricultural universities, including Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur, Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology Ayodhya, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology Meerut, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, and SHUATS Prayagraj, will participate. Uttar Pradesh Beej Vikas Nigam and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Varanasi, will also be part of the showcase. Agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi said, "The department has completed preparations to introduce guests and visitors to the state's advanced agricultural culture and progress."
