Lucknow, July 19 -- Aiming to connect industries with the third UP International Trade Show (UPITS) to be organised in Greater Noida in September, a grand roadshow was held on Friday on the KASSIA (Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association) campus in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. The event drew over 250 industrialists and exporters from sectors such as food processing, machinery, electronics, handicrafts, apparel, aroma and incense sticks. The third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 is set to take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida. Presiding over the event, MSME minister Rakesh Sachan said Uttar Pradesh has become the "engine of India's development story". He also said it is the only state in the country hosting international trade shows. With 96 lakh MSMEs-around 14% of India's total-the state is empowering artisans across all 75 districts through the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme. Sachan invited key industry bodies such as FKCCI (Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry), KASSIA, Peenya Industrial Association and LUB to participate in UPITS 2025 He emphasised investor-friendly features like the single-window system, a robust land bank, strong law and order, 12 operational airports, an expanding expressway network, and competitive labour costs. Uttar Pradesh, he said, is targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2029, with Rs 25 lakh crore worth of projects already approved out of a proposed Rs 40 lakh crore investment. During the roadshow, Karnataka industry leaders expressed interest in business opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. KASSIA president B.R. Ganesh Rao highlighted how UPITS opens new market avenues for MSMEs. FKCCI president M.G.
