LUCKNOW, Nov. 13 -- The UP Diversified Agriculture Support Project (UPDASP) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) on Tuesday signed an MoU to scale up sustainable and climate-resilient rice-based cropping systems under the World Bank-supported UP-AGREES project. "The initiative aims to transform eastern UP's low-yield rice-wheat systems into climate-smart, resource-efficient, and profitable models," said a government spokesman. IRRI will provide technical support on climate resilience, crop diversification, gender inclusion, and sustainability. The project will also foster entrepreneurship, value addition, and market linkages. htc...
