UP tourism invites bids to operate Nishadraj Park
PRAYAGRAJ, May 15 -- Shringverpur Dham, another town linked to Lord Ram after Ayodhya, is undergoing a major revamp by the UP tourism department to boost tourist footfall.
To manage the operations of the Nishadraj Park in Shringverpur, the UP tourism department has floated a proposal inviting private operators. A "Request for Qualification cum Proposal" has been issued, with May 29 set as the deadline for bid submission, confirmed Aprajita Singh, regional tourism officer, Prayagraj.
The selected private operator will be permitted to charge entry fees - a maximum of Rs 50 for adults and Rs 25 for children aged 10 to 18. The operator will also maintain a ticketing window, record ticket sales, and may offer bundled packages for park entry, food, and yoga/meditation sessions. Online ticket booking will also be available, Singh added.
Located about 1.8 km from the Varanasi-Kanpur Road/Prayagraj Bypass Road, the site spans 50,452.346 sqm in Sigraur Upahar (Pargana), Soraon Tehsil, Shringverpur Block.
Key features of the park include: 56-foot statues of Lord Ram and Nishadraj; an art gallery; food court with kiosks; and yoga and meditation centre....
