Lucknow, Jan. 17 -- Uttar Pradesh has taken the top spot in the country's de-regulation ranking. The state government has initiated the next phase of reforms for Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in UP, focusing on high-impact areas like land, construction, electricity, labour, fire safety, environment, tourism, health, and education, said a government press statement. The phase-II reforms will further simplify compliance and enhance business ease. A high-level panel from the Centre visited Lucknow on Friday to review the EoDB reforms and discuss the roadmap for compliance reduction and de-regulation.
