LUCKNOW, April 22 -- Uttar Pradesh showcased its green, technology-driven transport model on a national stage at the Green Transport Conclave in New Delhi, positioning itself as a frontrunner in sustainable mobility and logistics. Presenting the state's road map, state transformation commission CEO Manoj Kumar Singh highlighted a comprehensive strategy centred on clean energy-based mobility, modern logistics networks and future-ready infrastructure. The two-day conclave, organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy and inaugurated by Union minister Nitin Gadkari, brought together policymakers, industry leaders and experts across transport segments. Singh said UP was leveraging expressway expansion-such as Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Ganga and Agra-Lucknow corridors - to cut travel time, improve freight efficiency and attract investment. He emphasised the push towards electric mobility, e-buses, charging infrastructure and alternative fuels including ethanol, biogas and CBG. Under chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is aligning transport reforms with environmental goals, digital innovation and multimodal connectivity. Technologies like AI-driven traffic systems, digital tolling and real-time monitoring are central to this transition.
