Lucknow, Nov. 19 -- India is not just an emerging market, but an emerging model aligned with the aspirational vision of Viksit Bharat, said Union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal on Tuesday at the Indo-US Economic Summit 2025 in New Delhi. Invest UP officials attended the event. Senior officials of the state government were also present. Highlighting Uttar Pradesh's remarkable rise as a premier investment destination, Goyal noted the importance of ensuring that every investment yields meaningful outcomes and generates employment. Aseem Arun, UP minister (independent charge) for Social Welfare and SC/ST Welfare, shared insights into the state's 'Zero Poverty Scheme', which is a data-driven initiative designed to uplift vulnerable households. Awanish Awasthi, advisor to the UP CM, outlined the state's rapid progress under the CM's Vision 2027, including its pursuit of a $1-trillion economy. Pranjal Yadav, Secretary, MSME and Industries, highlighted the state's expanding industrial ecosystem, progressive policies, and strong investor confidence. The summit featured a series of high-level sessions designed to boost investment and support sustainable growth in Uttar Pradesh.
