Prayagraj, Nov. 21 -- Uttar Pradesh's Aryan Pratap Singh clinched the men's title, defeating Services' Jamal Sakib in the final of the inaugural Yadupati Singhania Memorial Squash Open, which concluded on Thursday at the Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex. In the women's category, Delhi's Khushi Puranik emerged champion after overcoming Maharashtra's Rani Gupta in the summit clash. The four-day tournament showcased high-energy competition, bringing together 219 players from 21 states across 11 categories. The event was organised by the Uttar Pradesh Squash Rackets Association (UPSRA) and dedicated to the memory of Late Yadupati Singhania, whose commitment to sports and youth development continues to inspire budding athletes. In Wednesday's finals, Delhi's Raghav Vashishtha secured the under-19 boys' title, defeating Haryana's Harshal Rana. Chandigarh's Savir Sood won the under-17 boys' crown with a victory over Maharashtra's Ishaan Dabke, while in the under-17 girls' final, Madhya Pradesh's Aishni Pathak beat Delhi's Anya Sood to take the title. In the under-15 boys' category, Maharashtra's Yusuf Pardiwala overcame West Bengal's Akshat Singhal, and in the under-15 girls' event, Rajasthan's Gauri Jaiswal defeated Delhi's Saanvi Bakshi. The under-13 boys' title went to Maharashtra's Aaditya Shah, who defeated Delhi's Vihaan Chandok. In the under-13 girls' final, Chandigarh's Swara Trehan beat Maharashtra's Isha Sheike. In the under-11 category, Maharashtra's Viraj Wadhwani clinched the boys' title by defeating Delhi's Rudransh Prabhakar, while Karnataka's Sameeksha Sugumar secured the girls' crown with a win over Maharashtra's Ariana Almoula. On the final day, the prestigious Yadupati Singhania Khel Ratna Award, presented by UPSRA for significant contributions to the growth of squash in Uttar Pradesh, was conferred upon Justice DP Singh (Retd).
